I offer 1-1 private maths tuition for the new 9-1 GCSE maths qualification, examined for the first time in 2017.
This qualification is significantly different to its predecessor. For all exam boards, the specification is much bigger - so much so that some schools now start GCSE maths in year 9 (Key Stage 3) instead of year 10, in order to get through all the topics.
Whether the goal is to move up a set, work towards a grade 4/5 or secure a top grade to study A Level maths at college, a 1-1 maths tutor can help to build confidence and keep on top of the material being taught in school.

Greater emphasis on problem-solving and mathematical reasoning.
